Qlucore recruits for the future

As a world leader in the development of bioinformatics software, Qlucore’s customer base now spans more than 20 countries and includes several of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies and international research institutions.

In 2013 Qlucore received a grant from VINNOVA*, the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation
Systems, allowing the company to develop an enhanced NGS-enabled release of Qlucore Omics Explorer, and more recently has received funding of €0.6 million for a three year period by the European Commission’s 7th Framework Programme. This was part of a €6.0 million consortium project (Grant n° 601851) for the development of mathematical and statistical algorithms. The consortium, known as the PoC-HCV consortium**, aims to develop integrated genetic and protein biomarker tests for use in treating and monitoring HCV patients, as well as in clinical research.

Mats Svensson, a graduate from Lund Technical University, joins the team of software developers, as a skilled C++ developer with past experience at ST-Ericsson. He brings to the role a unique understanding of the challenges facing developers, and will aid in Qlucore’s commitment to fulfil its role in the PoC HCV consortium.

David Eklund, also a graduate from Lund Technical University, joins Qlucore’s team of software developers. With his previous experience at Swedish consultancy companies Assistera and ÅR as well as from Schneider Electric, he will be a welcome addition to the team.

Another welcome addition to the team is Sara Strandberg. Sara has recently graduated from Lund Technical University, and will work as a sales representative with a focus on the North American market, a region that has a growing importance to Qlucore and its continued expansion...
