Qlucore Omics Explorer is very fast and responsive. The best way to evaluate speed is to download the evaluation version.  The graph below provides an overview. Short bars are better.

Supported data types

Qlucore Omics Explorer works with the following types of data:

  • Gene expression: microarrays, real-time PCR

  • MicroRNA: microarrays, real-time PCR

  • DNA methylation: microarrays

  • Protein expression: microarrays, antibody arrays, 2-D gels

  • Image analysis data

  • Any data set of multivariate data of sizes up to 1000 samples and 100,000 variables or 1000 variables and 100 000 samples

 

 

 

 

 

The data is based on the following test cases. All tests are done a data set of 132 x 22182. The computer used is a laptop with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor T7300 with speed 1,6 GHz.

 

Case 1 
Generate PCA plot for full data set
Case 2 
Filter variables based on variance until 4000 variables remains
Case 3 Selection of variables using ANOVA (until 300 variables remains). Including updated plot
Case 4 Updated PCA plot after deselecting a group of samples
Case 5 Finding all variables correlated to one selected variable (16,000 active variables)
Case 6
Connect all samples with nearest neighbours to look for patterns
